Compiling our Annual Oil&Gas Business Directory is a long and arduous process for 6 months before it eventually goes to the press. We hope you appreciate the time and effort that goes into organising and making a Directory of this size(about 500 pages) a valuable Reference Source Guide to users including service providers
Our Annual Oil & Gas Asia Business Directory is published and presented in Three Phases ( Hard Copy, Online, CD ROM ) to allow flexibility to our Advertisers to amend the details, which may change from time to time. This additional service is provided free only to our Advertisers.

When the new edition of our O&G Asia Business Directory goes online, as an advertiser, your company gets Maximum Business links and exposure globally for about a year, as our Website: www.safan.com is accessible (FREE) to all viewers without any restriction - no registration, no passwords.
Phase 1:
The Annual Directory (Hard Copy) will be published
in October every year. Advertisers are urged to inform us of any amendments to be made before it goes on the internet. We should receive the feedback within the time frame of 15 days after the receipt of the Hard Copy
Phase 2:
The whole content of the Directory will be presented on our Website: www.safan.com
in December each year. Then again our Advertisers are urged (within 15 days of the presentation on the internet) to inform us of any updates required. Once the amendments are made on the online directory, the contents of the whole Directory will remain there for about a year until it is replaced with the next edition of O&G Asia Business Directory. Please note that the name of your Company/Advert will be linked to your website
Phase 3:
Once the whole directory is placed on our website, www.safan.com after the necessary amendments, Advertisers will be urged to inform us of any further amendments to be made before the production of the Browser-based CD ROMs. Unlike the website, the contents of the CD ROM can not be reversed. The Advertisers will be given a time frame (within 7 days after the presentation on our website) to inform us if there are any changes in particulars. This applies only to Address/Tel/Fax/contact Personnel/Contact Number, and strictly not the Original Advertisement. Please note that the name of your Company/Advert will be linked to your website. After the closing date, no request from the advertiser will be entertained.
Advertisers
* All Advertisers in our Annual O&G Business Directory, irrespective of the size of adverts they have taken, will enjoy the same benefits except the space allowed to them in the Corporate listing page and the number of listing under Product/Company section, which varies accordingly.
* In the Product Section, the name of the company will appear highlighted on the respective Product Classification Code/s as in the hard copy of the directory, CD ROM and on the website, it will be linked to the company's details and when clicked, takes the viewer to the respective Company’s website.
*Although a company belongs to a group of companies, only the one which takes an advertisement is entitled for its name and address to be highlighted in the Directory.
* In the Corporate listing section, no more than one company, although it is a part of the same group and located in the same address, will be permitted to be stated under one Corporate company listing. Editorial on the description will be based on one company only. The following example illustrates this.

* As a budget advertiser of classified space can not enjoy the same privellege as a full page advertiser, the maximum number of products/services items under which an advertiser will be placed is restricted. Placement is based on the 'Key Word' - actual core business (as stated in the advertisement) and will be limited to a maximum of Six (6) for classifed advertisement, ten (10) for quarter page advertisement, fifteen (15) for half page advertisement, and above fifteen (>15) for others.
* As stated above, under the Product Classification provided in the product-Co section, they will be placed under a certain product/products based on the Contents of the advertisement and the submission of product/service write up. This is necessary for the credibility of the company as well as the contents of our annual directory.
* Budget Advertisers tend to squeeze a lot of information in a confined space of 85x60mm and they are urged not to place too much text in their advertisement, as it obscures the details of the advertisement when it is placed on the website (due to the restricted screen resolution). As the advert is linked to your website, more information can be seen by a visitor. As a sample, the ideal presentation of a budget advertisement is shown below:
* In the Equipment, Supply & Services section, the product listing covers a wide range of products in generic terms and a `Key' word of a particular product/service is provided, as we have taken into account that the nature of services provided by each company dealing with a particular product may be diversified and varied according to its organisation's set up.
For example - `Pipelines'. Under this product-title in the Product/Company listing, you may find that many companies, who are associated with this product in one way or the other, are listed under that product. This indicates that a company thus listed under `Pipelines' is engaged in offering any one of many services such as Consultancy, Designing, Manufacturing, Sales, Supply, Cleaning, Installation, Contracting, Servicing etc., pertaining and relevant to `Pipelines', and the specific activities of a particular company can be verified from the Corporate listing where relevant information is provided.
The following examples illustrate the accuracy needed for presentation in the Directory.
Example 1
An advertiser dealing with valves, as presented in an advertisement, if he wish to be listed under most product titles, it is not permitted. Although all products/services are Oil & Gas & Petrochemical industry related, and valves are used extensively in every sector, he will be placed only under the valves.
Example 2
A budget advertiser which deals with survey and inspection requests to be listed under 25 products ie.as shown below:
As his core business is survey and inspection, he will be listed under Survey onshore/offshore, Insection, NDT testing etc. up to a maximum of 6 products. It should be noted that this advert already carries all the items.
Example 3
A Trading company which claims to supply virtually every Oil & Gas products will not be listed under all the product titles requested, but will be listed under General Supplier (Products for O&G Industry).
* Specific activity and the description of the services/products of a particular company will be presented in the Corporate Listing section in not more than 50 words if the company is a classified advertiser, and less than 100 words for others.
* The inclusion of the listing of your affliated companies/Agents/Subsidiaries and others depends on the size of the advertisement and the space allocated to them accordingly.
As an example, an advertiser of classified budget advertisement will not be permitted to submit a large amount of details that can take up a space of a full page in the Corporate listing section.
